The FL9000 Respiratory Humidifier is for use in hospital critical care departments to provide ventilated patients with inspired respiratory gases at optimal humidity and temperature.

Intended use:
The Flexicare FL9000 Respiratory Humidifier is designed to warm and humidify respiratory gases delivered to patients who require mechanical ventilation or positive pressure breathing assistance via an endotracheal tube or face mask. It can be operated with or without a heated wire breathing circuit, and is suitable for adult, paediatric and neonatal critical care applications.

Heated Wire Application:
The fresh gas absorbs moisture and is warmed as it passes over the heated water in the humidification chamber and travels through the circuit. The temperature is monitored by the temperature probe at the chamber outlet and automatically adjusts the power to the heater plate. The chamber outlet temperature is automatically set to 37ºC in the invasive mode and 31ºC in the non-invasive mode, but can be set manually with the actual temperature of the delivered gas displayed on the LED display.
